Welcome to Elk, an adventure game set on a fictional island stitched together with true stories and tall tales, and inhabited by the people who lived them.

Story

You play as Frigg, a young carpenter trading their busy life in the city for an apprenticeship in a small town. When she arrives in Elk, Frigg worries that the slower pace of life will be boring (they don’t even have the internet), but quickly discovers nothing could be further from the truth!

Tragic stories told with love and sometimes humour

The stories reflect the drama of our lives, on Elk it’s known that humour, love and death go hand in hand. Life may seem hard sometimes, but it is always followed by laughter.

Le storie di Welcome to Elk sono raccontate dalle persone che conoscono le storie e/o erano presenti nel momento in cui gli eventi hanno avuto luogo. Sono tutte prese dai ricordi. Le storie raccontate sul nostro sito e nel gioco sono fedeli all’essenza dei racconti ma, tutti i nomi, i luoghi e altri dettagli sono stati modificati e riadattati per proteggere i veri protagonisti delle storie. Per questo motivo, le chiamiamo storie inventate. Le storie non sono raccontate con una perfetta corrispondenza con quelle reali, come succede in alcuni programmi televisivi. Sono riscritte e organizzate secondo una linea narrativa. I personaggi potrebbero avere un ruolo in una storia dove in origine non erano presenti, e solo noi che le abbiamo scritte ne siamo al corrente. Noi, e chi conosce la realtà dei fatti.

Welcome to Elk ha l’aspetto di un gioco divertente, ma è incentrato sul raccontare storie; alcune sono spassose, altre sono cupe, ma sono comunque tutte legate tra loro.
